TCA Chairman of the Board, Founder of Everglory Group and Croesus Group
Mr. Jim Chang is founder and CEO of the Croesus Group and Everglory Group. Croesus focuses on real estate, transportation and infrastructure, while Everglory focuses on financial lending and asset management. Both groups have strong international presences in Asia and the U.S.
In 2004, Croesus obtained an asset management mandate from Citigroup Property Investors and jointly created a US$ 500 million Japan residential real estate fund. In 2013, Croesus sponsored its first publicly traded vehicle Croesus Retail Trust, a business trust with an initial portfolio of commercial retail real estate in Japan that is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. Mr. Chang was awarded by CNBC as the best CEO in Asia Business. Croesus’ U.S. operations are a joint venture with Daiwa House Group, one of Japan’s largest developers, and Lincoln Property Company, a leading U.S. property management company. The joint venture has a total portfolio size of US$500 million in multi family housing.
Everglory acquired Japan’s largest mezzanine finance entity from Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, which specializes in corporate mezzanine and private equity investing. Everglory created a platform for Japan’s lending business, including microfinancing – Sinwa, which was owned by Fukuoka Bank.
Mr. Chang serves as an Advisor and Board of Director to numerous leading global institutions and organizations, most notably Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation, Evergreen Group, Dr. Chang Yung Fa Foundation, the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco and Asia Society, Japan.
