Everglory Group acquired 95.1% shares of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Capital, and renamed the company as “Trust Capital Co., Ltd.”

In 2000, Trust Capital was founded as a venture capital fund. In 2004, Trust Capital started a mezzanine capital fund which grew with the domestic buyout market to become the core business of Trust Capital. In 2005, Trust Capital provided a mezzanine capital for the MBO of World Co., Ltd., which was the largest MBO transaction in Japan at the time. In 2007 Trust Capital started inviting external investors, such as pension plans and blue chip companies. Trust Capital established its first mega solar fund in 2014.
